1. The Shots of Dialogue Short Film Festival is promoted by Associazione Culturale Link (Italy) and Intercultura (France) and other international partners. It is granted by the Council of Europe (European Youth Foundation) and the European Commission (Europe for Citizens Programme). The Festival is a part of a wider project having the aim of promotion of interculutral dialogue.

2. The Festival is open to citizens between 15 and 30 years living in the EU or in one of the countries belonging to the regions MEDA, SEE, EECA.
Every single young person or groups of youth, can participate by sending a short movie on the topic of "intercultural dialogue".

3. The Festival will be hosted in Dinan (France) from the 21st and the 25th of May 2009.

4. It is possible to participate with short movies of any genre (Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Video-clip...). The festival includes a single section called "intercultural dialogue". It is possible to participate by sending movies responding to the topic in its largest meaning, that means referring also to sub-cultures, but still stressing the aspects of dialogue.

5. There will be accepted short movies made between January 2008 and March 2009 using any support (analogical, video, film), of any genre, and having a lenght not longer than 8 minutes.
Short movies have to be sent exlusively as a DVD or MiniDV (this last one is preferrable). The inscription has to be made by sending the official entry form available on the website www.shotsof.eu.
The copies of all short films entered in the competition will not be returned to the participants, but stored in the Festival's archive.

6. The inscription to the Festival si free of charge. The Entry Form, filled and signed has to be sent jointly with the short movie, sub-titled in English , in DVD or, better, in miniDV.
Participants should also send a CD-Rom containing:
- a short bio-filmgraphy of movie makers in English (max 150 characters);
- a synopsis in English (max 150 characters);;
- a photo of movie makers (jpg o tif a 300 dpi);
- three photos of  movie scenes (jpg o tif a 300 dpi);
Materials should be received by the organizers before the 15th of April 2009 and have to be sent to the following address:

All movies that should arrive after this time limit will be not considered valid for the Festival, but, when possible according to the programme, they could participate only as movies "out of competition". The post and transport expenses of material for selection are charged to the participants.

7. Among all the submitted short movies, the organizers will pre-select the best 7 ones. The authors will be invited to tha Festival which will fully cover the expences for international trip and for their stay in Dinan (France) during the 5 days of the Festival. The winners will be informed about results of pre-selection by the 30th of April and the invited authors have to give a confirmation of their participation before the 10th of May 2009. Moreover, the Festival will invite one representative for each partner organization covering full boarding and 70% of travel expenses.

8. The Direction of the Festival will nominate the international Jury wich will be composed by at least 3 experts. Among the 7 pre-selected movies, the Jury will assign to the best 3 ones the following prizes:
- prize of the Jury
- prize of the public
- prize of the authorities
All prizes will no be in money, but they will consist in cultural products representing the different cultures involved in the project "Shots of Dialogue" (movies, books, typical products, etc.) and they will have a value of not less than 300 euros each.

9. The calendar and timetable of the scheduled projections of the Festival will be posted on the
official website www.shotsof.eu
The Festival will give visibility to the winners through the official website of the project those of the project partners.

10. The request for the admission to the Festival implies full acceptance of these regulations and the agreement by the artist about the reproduction of the material presented or produced, on whichever means and in any format, for all the publications with characteristic of documentary and/or promotional character connected to the project.
The artist declares and guarantees that the uses up authorized do not offend rights of thirds party, as (for example) other authors, subjects portrayed, transferees of rights, etc.
The Direction of the Festival can make decisions about issues that are not mentioned in this regulation.
Any resulting controversy will remain the competence of the Tribunal of Altamura.

1. Short Film Festival "Shots of Dialogue" est organisé par l'association culturelle Link (Italie) et l'association française « Intercultura » en collaboration avec d'autres partenaires internationaux. Financé par le Conseil d'Europe (Fonds Européen pour la Jeunesse) et la Commission Européenne (programme «L'Europe pour les citoyens»), le Festival s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un projet plus large qui vise à promouvoir le dialogue interculturel.

2. Le festival est ouvert aux personnes âgées entre 15 et 30 ans, résidents dans les pays de l'Union Européenne ou dans un pays appartenant à l'une des régions  suivantes: MEDA, SEE, EECA. Chaque jeune ou groupe peut participer en envoyant un court métrage sur le thème du « dialogue interculturel ».

3. Le festival sera organisé à Dinan (France) du 21 au 25 mai 2009.

4. Tous les genres sont acceptés (fiction, film d'animation, documentaire, reportage, clip, ...). Le Festival a une unique section, « dialogue interculturel ». Peuvent y participer toutes les œuvres qui s'inscrivent dans le thème dans son sens le plus large, se referant aussi aux sous- cultures, toujours en mettant l'accent sur les aspects du dialogue.

5. Sont admis les court métrage réalisés entre Janvier 2008 et Mars 2009, tournés en n'importe quel format (analogique, vidéo ou film), peu import le genre, et avec une durée maximale de 8 minutes. Les œuvres réalisées doivent être expédiés uniquement en DVD ou MiniDV (ce dernier de préférence). On peut s'inscrire au Concours en ligne, en utilisant la fiche d'inscription téléchargeable sur le site www.shotsof.eu. Les copies des courts envoyés seront joins à l'archive du Festival et ne seront pas retournés.

6. L'inscription au festival est gratuite. La fiche d'inscription, remplie dans son intégralité et signée, doit être envoyée avec une copie du court métrage avec des sous-titres en anglais, en DVD ou, de préférence, en miniDV.
Chaque participant doit également envoyer un CD-ROM contenant :
- courte bio-filmographie du réalisateur en anglais (max.150 caractères)
- synopsis en anglais (max. 150 caractères)
- une photo du réalisateur ((jpg ou tif a 300 dpi);
- trois photos de la scène du court metrage
Les colis doivent être reçues d'ici au 15 avril 2009 à l'adresse:

Les courts métrages qui nous parviendrons au-delà de cette date limite ne seront pas pris en considération mais, si la programmation le permet, seront présentés comme "hors compétition".
Les frais pour l'envoi de tous les matériaux de sélection sont à la charge des participants.

7. Parmi les œuvres reçues dans la date limite prévue, l'organisation réalisera une présélection de 7 œuvres, dont les réalisateurs seront invités à participer au festival.
Ils auront droit à 5 jours de séjour à Dinan (France) pendant le Festival et aux remboursements totales de frais de voyage. Les résultats de la pré-sélection seront notifiés le 30 avril et ils devront confirmer leur participation pour le 10 Mai 2009. Au Festival participera, également, un représentant de chaque organisme partenaire qui aura le droit à l'hébergement, aux repas et au remboursement de 70% des frais de voyage.

8. La direction du Festival désignera le jury international d'experts, composé de pas moins de trois personnes. Parmi les sept finalistes participants au Festival, le jury attribuera aux 3 meilleurs travaux, les prix suivants :
- prix du jury
- prix du public
- prix des institutions
Les prix ne seront pas en argent, mais des produits culturels représentant les différentes cultures impliquées dans le projet « Shots of dialogue» (films, livres, artisanat, etc), dont la valeur pour chacun ne sera pas moins de 300 euros.

9. Le calendrier et les horaires des projections sont de la responsabilité du Festival et seront publiés sur le site officiel du projet http://www.shotsof.eu. Le Festival donnera de la visibilité aux œuvres gagnantes par le biais du site officiel et des sites des organismes partenaires.

10. La demande d'admission au Festival implique l'acceptation sans réserve du présent règlement, l'accord de l'artiste pour la représentation du matériel présenté ou produit, sur tout moyen et sous n'importe quel format, pour toutes les publications de documentation et promotion de l'événement. L'artiste déclare et garantit que les utilisations autorisées ci-dessus n'ont pas d'incidence sur les droits de tiers, comme par exemple des autres auteurs, des acteurs, des sujets représentés, des cessionnaires de droits, etc.
La direction du Festival peut prendre des décisions sur des questions non prévues par le présent règlement.
Pour tout litige, le tribunal compétent est celui de Altamura.

3. Il Festival sarà ospitato a Dinan (Francia) dal 21 al 25 maggio 2009.

4. I cortometraggi possono essere di qualsiasi genere (Fiction, Animazione, Documentaristica, Video Clip ecc.).
Il Festival ha un'unica sezione denominata "dialogo interculturale" e possono partecipare opere che rientrano nel tema nella sua accezione più larga, riferendosì cioè anche alle sotto-culture, ma ponendo l'accento sugli aspetti del dialogo.

5. Possono partecipare al Concorso cortometraggi realizzati tra gennaio 2008 e marzo 2009.
Possono essere iscritti cortometraggi girati in qualsiasi formato (in analogico, in video o in pellicola), di qualunque genere e con durata non superiore a 8 minuti. I lavori realizzati devo essere spediti esclusivamente in: DVD o MiniDV (quest 'ultimo è preferito)
La richiesta d'iscrizione al Concorso deve essere inoltrata utlizzando la scheda ufficiale d'iscrizione scaricabile dal sito www.shotsof.eu.
Le copie dei corti inviati al Concorso entreranno a far par te dell'archivio del Festival e in ogni caso non saranno restituite.

6. L'iscrizione al Festival è gratuita. La scheda d'iscrizione, compilata in tutte le sue parti e firmata, deve essere inviata congiuntamente a una copia del cortometraggio con sottotitoli in inglese, in DVD o, preferibilmente, miniDV.
Ogni partecipante, deve inoltre inviare un CD-ROM contenente:
- breve bio-filmografia del regista in inglese (max 150 battute);
- sinossi in inglese (max 150 battute);
- una foto del regista (jpg o tif a 300 dpi);
- tre foto di scena del cortometraggio (jpg o tif a 300 dpi);
Il plico deve pervenire entro il 15 aprile 2009 all'indirizzo:

I cortometraggi che dovessero pervenire oltre questa data limite non saranno considerati validi per il Festival e, compatibilmente con il programma, potranno partecipare solo come "fuori concorso". Le spese di spedizione di tutti imateriali per la selezione sono a carico dei partecipanti.

7. Tra le opere pervenute entro il termine previsto, l'organizzazione preselezionerà 7 opere, i cui autori saranno invitati a partecipare al Festival. Questi avranno diritto a 5 giorni di soggiorno gratuito a Dinan (Francia) durante il Festival e al rimborso totale delle spese di viaggio. Gli esiti della preselezione saranno comunicati ai vincitori entro il 30 aprile e questi dovranno dare conferma della loro partecipazione entro il 10 maggio 2009.
Al Festival parteciparà, inoltre un rappresentante per ciascuna organizzazione partner che avrà diritto a vitto e alloggio e al rimborso del 70% delle spese di viaggio.

8. La Direzione del Festival nominerà la Giuria internazionale di esperti composta da non meno di tre persone. Tra i sette finalisti partecipanti al Festival, la Giuria assegnarà alle 3 migliori opere , i seguenti premi:
- premio della giuria
- premio del pubblico
- premio delle autorità
I premi non saranno in denaro ma saranno costituiti da prodotti culturali rappresentativi delle diverse culture coinvolte nel progetto "Shots of Dialogue" (film, libri, prodotti tipici, ecc) per un valore ciascuno non inferiore a 300 euro.

9. Il calendario e gli orari delle proiezioni sono di competenza del Festival e saranno pubblicati sul sito ufficiale del progetto http://www.shotsof.eu
Il Festival darà visibilità alle opere vincitrici attraverso il sito ufficiale e i siti delle organizzazioni partner.

10. La richiesta d'ammissione al Festival implica l'accettazione incondizionata del presente regolamento, l'accordo da parte dell'artista alla riproduzione del materiale presentato o prodotto, su qualsiasi mezzo e in qualunque formato, per tutte le pubblicazioni di carattere documentario e promozionale relative alla manifestazione.
L'artista dichiara e garantisce che gli utilizzi sopra autorizzati non ledono diritti di terzi, quali (a titolo esemplificativo) altri autori, soggetti ritratti, cessionari di diritti, ecc.
La Direzione del Festival può prendere decisioni relative a questioni non previste dal presente regolamento.
Per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Altamura.
